Redline HS by McKone

I've been an avid admirer of Mike McKone's work since his run on the awesome, and criminally underrated, Avengers Academy series a few years back -- and my interest in his art only increased when I saw him crank out a couple awesome commissions over the course of 2014's Big Wow! Comicfest. Unfortunately, by the time I stumbled across his Artist's Alley table that year, his commission queue was quite full.

Fortunately, he returned for Big Wow's 2015 show -- and, this time, I made getting on his list a priority. This truly lovely headshot of Redline was the result.

I greatly appreciate the time and attention Mike paid to the shape and proportion of Kacey's facial features. They're rendered beautifully, and with real specificity and precision. She looks like herself here, not some generic heroine out of central casting.
